Pastors dissatisfied with Prayer Life

In a sample of 860 Protestant church pastors.

16 % very satisfied with their personal prayer lives.
47 % somewhat satisfied
30 percent somewhat dissatisfied
7 percent very dissatisfied

Time spent in prayer averaged 40 minutes.

90 % of pastors prayed for

individual members needs
spiritual health
spiritual growth
wisdom in leading their church.

Factors that determined a satisfied pastor ;-

Average time of 40 minutes in prayer

Less time in requests and more listening to God's voice

spend time praying for "big issues" beyond their own lives and churches--overseas missions, persecuted Christians in other countries, local outreach and evangelism efforts, other local churches and pastors, global events
